When you are a leader, it is important that they know regularly they are appreciated. It doesn’t take but a moment to leave a little note to show a worker you appreciate them. This acknowledgement can better their day, and it will not cost you anything.
Cop to your mistakes. Even the best leaders will make the occasional mistake. But, great leaders are willing to step up and take responsibility. Doing this lets others know that you are only human and make mistakes just as everyone else does. Although those traits are unlikely to seem like those of a leader, showing that you are human helps engender loyalty.
Synergy is important in leadership. Have a good grasp of your own personal goals. Make sure to define business goals clearly. These should complement each other, as well as overlap in some areas. You want to strive for both sets of goals simultaneously. If you aren’t enthusiastic, the work will show it.
